Subject: Open Me : Tips/Results Update/Must Read Article

Hello Friend

I have a few things for you to get stuck into today, the first of which I think is a must read for anyone who bets on horses - whether £50p or £50...

The Handicapping Process...

My good friend Matt Bisogno of geegeez fame has written a quite brilliant article on 'The Handicapping Process'.

In it he walks you through his own approach, covering what he deems to be the four main elements of race analysis - - Race / Horses/ Actors /Market

Matt has a very engaging style of writing and I'm sure many of you have read this article already.

Make a cup of tea and get your note-pad out - you will definitely pick up something that you may not have considered before.

This part made me smile most...

"For many, bizarrely, the need for winners is predominant. A need for vindication, to be proven correct, to solve the puzzle, trumps the quest for profit. There are thousands - probably millions - of punters who are happy to "BOOM!!!!!!!" after 'nailing' a 4/6 winner (that should have been even money in any case). If you need confirmation of that, just search 'boom' on twitter any afternoon during racing.

The good news is that, for those of us who prefer to eat less often, but gorge ourselves when we do, figuratively and relatively at least, those bombastic
boomers butter our bread"

Anyway, if you are serious about making more money on the horses long term, and are interested in the approach of others, you should give it a read HERE>>>

BLOG RESULTS: UPDATE

I have updated the results from the blog for April and 2016 to date. This covers both the tips and the micro systems.

(this includes a link to a PDF record of all tipped horses since Jan 1st 2016, to advised odds and BFSP)

Also in the post is a reflection on some of the horses I have tipped and that have lost - a surprising number have gone on to win on their next few starts, as below...
  • Top Wood – 2 starts later won at 9/1
  • West of The Edge – next start won over hurdles at 16/1
  • Basford Ben – 4 starts later won at 7/2
  • Tour Des Champs – two starts later won at 6/1
  • Ibis Du Rheu – next start won at Festival, 20/1>16/1
  • Loose Chips – next start won, after a break, 10/1
  • No Duffer – won next start 10/1 (tipped and backed, for once!)
  • Loughalder – PU when tipped, won next start 16/1
  • The Young Master – 3rd for us Festival, won NTO Sand, 12/1 (two days before) 8/1 SP
  • Cup Final – PU for us at Festival, won NTO Punchestown, 20/1
  • Wellforth – tipped 25/1, tailed off but completed, two starts later won 16/1
  • Bob Tucker – followed up win for us NTO, 12/1
  • You’re Fired – tipped in Lincoln, won NTO 16/1
Clearly I have been backing them in the wrong race!!

Anyway, you can read about all of those at the link above.

Finally, there is today's blog post. That can be found in the usual place and has been complete for some time.

Some shrewdies somewhere have also tipped my two main bets - one going from 14/1 into 6/1 and the other from 6/1 into 7/2. Hopefully you got a price early.

(newest post always at the top)

That is all for today,

Good Luck with any bets you place, as always,

Josh
