An up and down weekend on the free tips front - the Charlie Hall Chase winner seemingly paying for the rest of the duds. I had a shocker in two of the races covered, including yesterday's chase from Carlisle, and i'm far from happy with how they panned out. Yes I may have got the going wrong on both chases, but I hate looking for excuses and when selections run that poorly it annoys me. Anyway, we finished where we started, still on +99 points for the year, having briefly broken through the +100 point mark.
On we go, with a trip Down Under...
The Melbourne Cup
Darran Pearce has written a preview for us to get stuck into. He goes through all the runners and finishes up with his main four fancies. It's 8/1 the field and should be good fun. You'll need to set your alarms for 4am on Tuesday morning (well, i'd suggest 3.55 if you want to catch the start of the race!)
