Subject: How Honest Are You? - Your Help Required / Jan Review / Two Tips [All inside]

Hello Friend

I hope you are having a great week.

A couple of things for you today, and something a bit different in terms of funding my blog,(your honesty/generosity required) hopefully worth the read...

TIPs...

First of all I have put up a couple of 'tips' for the 2.00 Newcastle -

Total Assets - 1.5 points win - 11/4 (now 3/1)
Frank The Slink - 1 point win - was 20s, now 16s/12s.

You can read why I like those, plus today's micro angles, in the usual place on the blog.

January Review...

Sonny The One won yesterday to get February off to a decent start adding +5 points to the bank. That follows on from the +88.5 points that the free tips made during January. £885 to £10 stakes is not too bad.

Free Tips during the national hunt season are now on +131.75 points, or £2635 to £20 stakes, since the start of October.

In my survey some of you requested that I provide more detailed results for the tips, so that is what I have done.

This includes two links to a spreadsheet of results and a PDF version - with tips recorded to advised odds and Betfair SP.

THE FUTURE...How Honest Are You?...

Those of you who completed my survey (I will be going through/sharing some of finding asap) will know that I have been toying with charging a monthly subscription for some aspects of the blog.

Well, the good news if you read the blog, is that this won't be happening until July at the earliest, if at all.

In the meantime, as of today, I have introduced a DONATE option on the blog posts.

To be blunt, the blog takes a lot of time and given the need to feed and house myself, means that it cannot continue in its current form, bringing in no income, forever. That is the simple truth.

In the context of the profits it has been making since November 2014 I also think it is a rather good for a free blog.

However, charging a set subscription level has never made me totally comfortable. I am aware that you/we all bet different amounts and engage with my ramblings in different ways and a subscription element may exclude many of you.

If you blindly follow the tips you have been doing well. Likewise with the micro systems (another +86 points since August). Of course there are then all the stats, reports, etc etc

Some of you bet £2 per point, some £20 (me), everything in between, and some much bigger.

So, what I have introduced is an option that allows you to donate an amount that suits you, at a time that suits you, that you think is right.

I am asking you to be honest about how you engage with the blog, and if you make any money or value the free reports etc, to donate a small amount every now and then to help keep it subscription free.

Of course, some of you just like reading what I write and never back my tips etc. Clearly you may not want to donate a penny, but this approach at least keeps the blog available to you also. And of course a lot of you haven't been reading it for long and are still getting to grips with it.

This is an experiment, and I am intrigued to see how it goes. In truth if everyone who reads the blog 3-7 days a week donated an average of £5-7 per month then there would never be a need for a subscription element.

The links below are live now, and if you have profited from the blog in recent weeks/months you may wish to donate some money my way :) (or not, your call)

Please let me donate, and help keep your blog subscription free…

Here you go Josh, I would be happy to send you…

Donations are via PayPal and so far 23 of you have been kind enough to donate £3-£17, very much appreciated.

You may wish to donate after backing a winner, every week or month based on any profit you may have made, or on the back of a free report/article you have found useful and that has helped you find some winners

I hope all the above sounds fair.

Thanks for your continued support now and into the future. I want to build an inclusive community for punters/enthusiasts of all levels, and I think this approach has the potential to do that.

Right, that is all for today.

All the best
Josh

p.s There will be some trends/stats up on the blog later today for the 3.35 Sandown on Saturday. Tomorrow I am hoping to record a video looking at Nicky Richards. I suspect I will next email you on Saturday. Happy Punting.
