Much like yesterday he has his conditions again but is not so badly drawn this time. He has won at class 4 (2/10) and although better in class 5 (3/6) he has the ability to win at this level and is well handicapped with the jockey claim. He is 2/2 when returning within 7 days and both of those wins were after 2 days. I believe he was heavily eased yesterday if reading the race report correctly so it is possible that race didn't take too much out of him. Desert Command is the other pace angle and it is possible they take each other on, but he should be in the right place to strike and there do not appear to be any excuses. He is also 3/6, 3 places when 8/1 or under. Negatives. Well clearly it is hard to be positive about his run yesterday but his history suggests winning shortly after a poor run is no problem. Until they race you simply don't know how much a race so soon has taken out of them. It is possible he is withdrawn, we shall see. My Verdict. 1 point win 5/1. (Betfred, BV, Coral) Hopefully he can put yesterday's run behind him. Slip Sliding Away is another profile horse in here but he is a Goodwood specialist and is 1/18, 6 places outside his conditions. But he is in form and has come second here. Hopefully he doesn't spoil things, although the market suggests he has a strong chance.
