Subject: [Exclusive] Pro Punter's Notebook Horses & Eye-Catchers

Hello Friend]

Sad news to wake up to this morning, with the passing of Mr Aintree & Mr PNE, Trevor Hemmings, aged 86. A true titan of National Hunt racing, a great friend of the sport (especially in the north), The Grand National and a thoroughly decent, self-made, man. He will be missed. Thoughts are with all his friends & family.

Exclusive 'Notes From The North'

Today I've got what I suppose is 'part 2' of the additional content that will be on my blog/members club this winter, exclusive track side notes from pro-punter Adam Norman.

As always with my content, including all the free stuff of course, it's designed to help you take control of your punting/racing experience, save you precious time, find more winners, with any luck make more money long term, even to small stakes, and of course have plenty of fun along the way. It's all a bit pointless if it's not enjoyable! And to help us all become better punters in time also.

I shared 'part 1' on Saturday, Gavin Priestley's excellent winter trends content and preview notes. (as published here >>>

As a bonus he managed to land on five winners across the two days, the highlights being Some Chaos (7s) and Orby's Legend (8s).

As Ian R quipped in the comments "GP looks a shrewd signing Josh. Some Chaos, Tea Clipper and Orbys Legend have secured my RTP subs for the winter season already"

That's what I like to hear. The next instalment from Gavin will be Cheltenham's Open Meeting. There's 10 more meetings covered before 2022, then the four trial meetings, before full coverage of Cheltenham and Aintree. I can't wait.

So, Gavin helps cover the 'big race/Festival' content, but I was also keen to add some quality 'notebook/eye-catchers' content to the blog also.

And really, there's nothing much better than getting exclusive access to the notes of a track-side pro punter.

This winter season, northern based national hunt pro punter, Adam Norman, will be providing his unique ‘Notes From The North’, exclusive to Racing To Profit.

These notes are taken track-side, using Adam’s experienced paddock eye and race reading skills, providing an insight you won’t find elsewhere. He certainly missed not being able to go racing last season.

If you enjoy adding horses to trackers you should find this information invaluable, even more so as it’s not in the wider public domain. Or you may just enjoy the read.

Adam will be going racing 3-4 times per week through to the end of April, and these notes will be published on a Monday or Tuesday, exclusive to my members.

I have made Adam's first instalment 'free to air' and have repeated his Sedgefield notes below.

If you'd like to also read his notes from Hexham also, head to the blog HERE >>>

Hopefully you'll agree with long time member James B who posted a comment...

"Agree this is a good addition, please thank Adam for the notes, I’ve put a couple in the tracker to see how they do and, like Ian, have added T Willmott as well – all good fun!"

Notebooks at the ready...

Sedgefield (Oct 6th)

1.38

Punxsutawney Phil; Rather round backed and took a while to get on top in the straight, form only modest as paddock pretty poor and one to oppose under penalty.

Spiritofthenorth; Appeared to be carrying condition, very weak in betting, had his own way of things in front. Irresolute maiden on the flat upto 10f, may require decent ground/sharp track to get home (Muss).

2.13

Moore Clouds; Keen going but still with a chance between last two, plenty of size and can improve again. Outside track at Carlisle over 2m may suit.

Kauto D’Amour; Plenty of size so likely to be having another go at fences this term, but was very rusty in the race and looked burly beforehand. Not a great walker.

3.23

Call The Fairies; Well backed, only compact sort, appeared to have every chance despite hampered early. Likely to improve.

Fairfield Ferrata; Decent type with size, should improve for outing. Went off the boil last term but should be capable of a fair bit better.

Sheila Nash; Big drifter on hurdles debut, compact/strong and knee action to post, has shown ability but may not be straight forward. Do better.

3.58

Northern Bound; Always been a fair looker and has strengthened up, entitled to win but did so with plenty in the tank after awkward passage. Solid jumper, unlikely to stay further. Hat-trick on cards.

Dr Sanderson/Blazer; Both carrying plenty of condition for yard having quiet time.

4.33

Treasured Company; Moved well to post and won with something in hand after strong support, form may be okay despite runner-up as paddock looked strong. T Willmott huge value for claim.

Lord Caprio; Held up too far out of ground and did well to stay on into third, worth another chance next time. Bit of size and can do better.

Blue Hawaii; Plenty of size, strong sort, jump a fence. Quite fit but will come on for the run.

5.05

Crack Du Ninian; Ticked plenty of boxes and looked straight enough to win on seasonal debut again. Point winner looks an assured jumper and yard does well with this type who knows how to win. May be best away from worst of ground.

Cooper’s Cross; Bred to want further than the minimum and wasn’t fit but has size and scope to win over fences.

Miraculous Getaway; Nicely backed, plenty of size and took step in right direction on chase debut, yard can be expected to place him to good effect off low mark.

These notes are perfect for copying into trackers, and with any luck will help you land on a few 'under the radar' winners and avoid some losers, both in the short term and long term. They certainly add useful context to a horse's performance and help paint a picture moving forwards.
