Subject: 🟢🏇A Super Saturday? Here's Hoping...

Hello, Friend,

A Super Saturday?

I had a great time at the July course yesterday, great company. The weather was awful but that was good news for my 'nap', Final Watch, who i'd convinced myself just could not be out the x4 places at 8s>5s, and even more so once I saw him pre race - a bull of a horse. A superb ride from Callan and it made for a very very good afternoon.

I had change on Balding's 16s (R4) maiden winner, a 'trainer micro qualifier' from the blog who looked good pre race (mentioned in my notes)... I am still kicking myself for not baking Charlie Johnston's 20s winner of race 1, I backed his other one, doh! A trends trainers pointer in a race they've farmed and a micro qualifier - painful! Just back both! Moron. And Saeed's winner, a RA eye-catcher, made 5/2 look massive and I tried to get him beat. Silly boy. Still, I won't complain, it's been a fun two days at HQ so far with x4 winners, which will do, for now.

Onto today... the most barmy day of the flat racing calendar, it's hard (impossible) to know where to look or to do the card's justice. The weather doesn't help either!

Below I've listed my fancies... on the blog you can find my trends/trainer pointers for the three big handicaps, my 'Royal Ascot Eye-Catchers' and today's Newmarket Trainer Micro Qualifiers (20/1 and 16/1>17/2 winners yesterday). .

You can read that HERE >>>

There are very few notes today, I've been up since 6am having failed to do any homework last night (I fell into the local pub, and then curry house) and my 2nd strong coffee is wearing off. You'll just have to trust there's method to my madness!

Saturday’s Selections

Big Race Fancies

1.45 Ascot – Call Me Ginger – 12/1 – EW – 5p

3.10 York – White Wolf 12/1 / Faylaq 16/1-18/1 / Millebosc 11/2

4.0 Newm – Streets Of Gold – 7/1 EW – 5p

Other Fancies

2.20 Ascot – Angel Bleu – 9/2 (Royal Ascot eye-catcher)

4.05 Ascot – Lucander – 12/1 (‘way in’ was Struth – a Royal Ascot eye-catcher, who may win but 10/3 looks on tight end, but when looking at race, could not work out why this horse was so big, looks massive to my eyes)

4.40 Ascot – Farhh Too Shy – 5/1 -EW 4p– (Royal Ascot eye-catcher – this race usually goes to 3 or 4YO, older horses not a great record, but she’s so solid, won’t mind rain, I can’t see her out the frame IF running her race)

Newmarket ‘through the card’

I spent around 10 minutes on the following (exc the 4pm, that got a bit more time) and have mainly stuck to my 'trainer micro quals' for this meeting, my RA eye-catchers, instinct...and with Kinross...well, I think this may have always been the plan this season, to send Frankie out with a July Cup win, but sadly he's banned. We shall see if the horse has read the script...

1.40 – Bernese – 5/1

2.15 – Dancing Goddess – 7/2

2.50 – Coko Jack – 14/1 EW (next best #2) (also Royal Ascot eye-catcher)

3.25 – Haatem – 10/1 EW

4.00 – Streets of Gold – 7/1 EW (NAP… i'm mad)

4.35 – Kinross – 10/3 (next best #1)

5.10 – Hidden Story – 2/1

As always, good luck with any bets, keep it sensible, set an afternoon budget you're happy to lose, and try to stick to it! :)

Have a great day,

Josh
