Hello Friend
The 50 or so of you who decided to give Phillip 'Snowy' Griffiths a try for just £1 couldn't have asked for a better start, given he banged in an 8/1 winner yesterday (9/1 SP) at Ludlow, from two picks, Happy News - aptly named!
Here's what he sent out about that race... always informative...
"Moving up to LUDLOW, where they have a 6 race card and does include 4 Handicaps, but I don't fancy anything in 3 of them. The 2:05 (Class 3 Chase), 2:40 (Class 4 Hurdle) and the 3:50 (Class 4 Hurdle) are all better contests than the Amateur Riders, Class 5 Handicap Chase (2m4f) at 3:15, but I fancy having a little dabble on an outsider in this race, so I may as well offer the beast up to you. These races are often won by the better riders, not so much the better horses. I know little about the riders aboard Goldencard and Printing Dollars and the rider aboard Kilbrew Boy, is a relatively inexperienced rider as well. Saying that, Charlie Case has won 2 races, both aboard Kilbrew Boy, but both came at Wincanton and both came after this horse had a few runs under its belt as well. Following 150 days off, he may well need the run today and he is very much likely to face competition up front. He is 1 of 3 potential front runners in this, the others are the jolly Goldencard and Muse Of Fire as well. Not only them, Gouet Des Bruyeres can take a bit of a grip himself and he may even join 1 or 2 of them at the head of affairs today. He has the assistance of James King, who is 1 of the top Amateur riders here in the UK and if anyone can, he may be the one to anchor him back. His best and most recent form though, is at the minimum trip of 2m. Will he last home over 2m4f? There has to be a little doubt anyway. Printing Dollars has the ability to figure, but she's looking increasingly reluctant and moody. Perhaps a quiet kind ride from a lady amateur can persuade her, who knows!
Local trainer John Groucott trains both Muse Of Fire (fallen last 2) and HAPPY NEWS (8/1) and with the very talented Gina Andrews aboard the latter, I think this grey is worth a little poke. She won over this course and distance, first time out here last season (at the time, jumping 4 out, Muse Of Fire was still just ahead) and the ground that day was just on the soft side of good. It could be argued that slower ground would be more suitable, as a win on soft at Leicester after (2m4f) would suggest, but I'm not so sure about that. Breeding wise, decent ground may be fine, so long as there is no mention of the word firm. If it's unsafe for him today, surely his trainer would take him out. If he runs, he is worth a little play anyway. It's the make up of this race that seems to suit, with questions about his rivals (jockeys, trip and taking each other on up front) this race may well be ideal. Gina Andrews is a fine pilot in this type of race and she should be able to get a tune of this 8yo this afternoon, providing he is fit enough to do himself justice of course. It's his first outing for 205 days, but it was a 287 day break when he won last year, so it shouldn't be the biggest issue today."
(a recap/staking advice follows at the bottom of Snowy's emails, which you can always just skip to if in a rush, or have no interest in the reasoning!)

The guys at Surewin, who support Snowy, have told me they plan to stop this special offer at midnight on Sunday.
Don't forget, you get full access for 31 days for just £1, a no brainer really, if you're on the look out for a profitable tipster long term, and you like the jumps...
