Subject: 14/1 Northumberland Plate Tip/Pointers/Other Micros

Hello Friend

In today's post i've shared a few pointers for the Northumberland Plate to use as you please and I've had a go at a 14s shot EW. There's also a 10's poke at Newmarket who may outrun his odds, if his new headgear does the trick.

As always there's a write up so you can see if you agree with me or not! Given the variety of fancies in the comments, it would suggest the big Newcastle handicap is open enough - cue the fav bolting up! :) I've had a mediocre week since Scartlett Dragon won, but that was always likely to happen - the betting gods have a way of putting you back in your box after a 33s winner -  a few placed efforts but not much to should about at all really. Hopefully today's two run their race and have me on the edge of my seat entering the final furlong...

If you've any fancies today, do post a comment and let us all know.

Micro Angles

If you like your micro angle snippets, you may wish to note down the following that have appeared in various write ups of mine on the blog this week...

  • Alan King/Hollie Doyle: 5/14,6p now in the last year when teaming up, +66 SP
  • Aidan O'Brien 1st Time In a Handicap: 18/72, 36p, +40 SP in the last two years, 8/24, 12p +31 at The Curragh in the last five years. (those figures surprised me and clearly a few are ignored by the market)
  •  Roger Varian 1st Time Visor (all races) : 5/24, 7p, +6 SP in his career. He doesn't reach for it very often, but when he does said runners may be worth a closer look.
So, add those to your notebook for future reference and with any luck they point you to the odd winner or two in time.

Don't forget, you can find today's post in the usual place on the blog HERE>>>

Have a great day, and as always best of luck with any fancies,
Josh
