Subject: 🏇 Weds Stats Pointers + Two Jumps Trainers to Follow?

Good Evening, Friend,

I hope you've had a great start to your week, scorching where I am and I suppose we should enjoy the sunshine while it lasts.

Below you can find a few stats pointers for tomorrow and with any luck the list of horses is a useful 'way in' for those of you who like diving in and applying your own grey matter to the punting puzzle. Hopefully by emailing out now I've left you enough time to do so. I've yet to go through the horses or their races, but fingers crossed the odd winner flagged, and if nothing else, some stats to note moving forward.

Following that I've shared a couple of jumps trainers it could be worth keeping an eye on this September/October, a 'micro' of sorts for Tom Lacey and Jonjo O'Neill.

Wednesday Stats Pointers

Using the excellent Geegeez Gold Reports...

William Haggas and Tom Marquand are 5/10,6p, +10 when teaming up at Lingfield in the last year. They team up with two here, Persian Blue 6/1 (15.05) and Karat Karat Evens (16.15)

Adrian Keatley and Brian Hughes are 5/10,7p +29 SP when teaming up in the last year and evidently the trainer has meant business when booking the Champion Jockey. They team up at Hexham and run Belle of Annandale 6/4 (16.39) and Belvedere Blast 9/2 (17.45)

Sticking with Hexham and and Irish based trainer John McConnell doesn't mess around when sending horses here although plenty go off short enough. Still, his 8/16,11p, +3SP stats here are worth noting. John sends three over... Lisnamult Lad 4/6 (16.39), Battle of Benburb 5/1 (17.14) and Ahead of The Field 6/1 (19.18)

Nicky Richard's doesn't mess around here either, 8/19,12p +23 SP with all Hexham raiders in the last year. He runs just one... Kajaki 10/1 (17.45)

Over to Ireland and Johnny Murtagh does well when booking Danny Sheehy to ride at Gowran, the pair 6/14,10p, +22 SP here... Pascalia 12/1 (16.40)

Back to the UK and Ed Bethell is starting to fire on all cylinders again, 4/12,7p +4 in last 14 days, a hot yard to keep an eye on maybe? He runs one at Southwell, Gressington 11/2 (15.15)

And finally back to Lingfield, where Conrad Allen has done well when booking Sean Levey the pair 3/10,5p, +5 here in the last year. They team up with Luna Queen 5/1 (17.25)

As I said, i've yet to flick through any of those myself, but some interesting stats there as a foundation in which to go to battle, and have a closer look if so desired.

The Jumps...

Not long now before the main jumps season springs into life and with that in mind I've dived into HRB to find some trainers who do well in September & October. I've found angles quite hard to find but for now, two names in which to note, stats from start of 2018-

Jonjo O'Neill

  • National Hunt, September & October

  • Horse aged 7 or younger

  • Either no previous rules form in UK/Ireland (usually making racecourse debut), OR horse was 1st or 2nd at least once last three starts.

  • Horse had 0-3 runs this season (May 1st>)

  • Jonjo's only runner in race

  • Any odds (there have been some juicy ones)

191 bets / 45 wins / 83p / 24% sr / +162 SP / +228 BFSP / AE 1.44

Tom Lacey

  • National Hunt, September & October

  • Handicap Hurdle or Novices Handicap Hurdle

  • Any odds

55 bets / 19 wins / 33p / 35% sr / +41 SP / +54 BFSP / BFAE 1.84

There are no qualifiers on Wednesday, but Jonjo does run Biowavego at Southwell on Thursday, 2.18pm.

Plenty there to chew over and as always, best of luck with any bets,
