Subject: 🏇 New Exciting Flat Horse For Sale: Overnight Oats

Good Evening, Friend

I hope this email finds you in good spirits.

Introducing Overnight Oats

We have a new horse for sale! It's been four/five weeks since Dixie Cowboy joined the ranks and it was about time we tried to syndicate another! What will hopefully be horse #9.

We have 130+ owners and counting across our x8 horses to date and it would be great if you joined us! :)

This time it's one for the flat turf/AW, in training with Dr Richard Newland & Jamie Insole, who leads the flat training and has made a blistering start since joining the license (5/20 runners so far). His education at Alan King's and Charlie Hills' is serving him well.

An ambitious team going places, and we were keen to dive in asap, an out and out flat horse to join Shandancer and Give Me A Boom. We have a great relationship with them, their communication is superb and it's a very friendly yard.

The yard was featured on RTVS 'This Racing Life' last night, and you can watch it HERE >>>

For those of you who like videos, you can watch my 'deep dive' into Overnight Oats below. I talk through his profile to date, form, three of his races inc his two wins, the hopes for this season, why he will improve, his breeding, the plan and so on....we're very excited, as always! :) There's also a clip of him working this morning.

What you need to know...

Overnight Oats -

  • An exciting 4YO gelding, out of multiple Group winners Muhaarar x Integral (Dalakhani) (a £47k yearling)

  • Rated OR75, highest RPR 81, with promise of much more to come this season and next.

  • 17 runs / 2 wins / 4 seconds / 1 third

  • Just 2/10, 4p in turf handicaps, unexposed on turf and AW.

  • Prominent racer, tough, genuine, takes his racing well, versatile ground wise.

You can find his Racing Post Profile HERE >>>

Why should he improve? We like having horses with upside potential/more to come, as it's exciting to dream and enjoyable to go on a journey with them...

  • Overnight Oats was very buzzy last year, preparing/running him over 5f as a 2YO appearing to spark him up too much, his brain thinking quicker than his feet (according to his trainer). He progressed as a 3YO with a hood enlisted but was still keen and green at times, but that didn't stop him winning comfortably twice over a stiff 7f at Carlisle and Sandown, nor running a fine 2nd at Epsom over 9.5f, races that have all worked out well.

  • He should naturally improve for time, he's just turned 4 and had a good holiday after the sales. He should naturally improve on that score and could well be an even better 5YO also. However, Dr Newland's surroundings & turnout appear to have really settled him down. I've attached a video of his work from this morning - he looks very calm. Billy Loughnane rode him in work today, handily he sat on him at William Muir's (previous trainer) and says he feels transformed as he was lively to deal with there. This conservation of energy should help him take a big step forward this season

  • Jamie thinks he now wants further, certainly a stiff 8f but 10-12f could be the reason for a massive step forward in improvement, especially if he settles in his races as well as he has at home. In his winning runs he often travelled well but was outpaced very early, but responded well to pressure, ran through the line and took an age to pull up. As he did over 9.5f at Epsom. A couple of his half-siblings stayed 1m4f, his dam a strong stayer at a mile, and her sire, Dalakhani, a strong stayer at 1m4f. Group class oozes through his blood, although obviously not quite that good! However, a half-brother did climb through the handicap ranks reaching a rating of 100+, a proper C2 animal, so you have to dream! Given his running style, manner of performances to date, and this breeding, he could take-off when stepped up in distance. There's every chance he gets better with age and experience, and he looks a stronger horse than last year already, and is working well.

The Plan?

  • Overnight Oats will be ready to run in mid-late March, so not long to wait. He appears to go on any ground. It will be an initial 1 Year commitment from 1st March, first refusal into Year 2.

  • We will run him wherever we think the most suitable races and conditions are. Dr Newland & Jamie Insole's yard is very handily located centrally in Worcestershire, and he's likely to race in the north, midlands and south - a horse for wherever you're based, as there'll be plenty of chances to see him run. As always we will bring you as close to the action as possible, wherever you are. He's got form at Carlisle and Sandown already. But many options open to him on Turf, and of course the AW may be explored at some point, including to blow the cobwebs away in March, however very much a turf horse for now.

  • As I said, it's likely he'll be tried over 10f+, and he could develop into a solid 85/90+ handicapper. It would be great to have a proper 'Saturday horse' on our hands. He appears to have settled better, grown up, strengthened and there's no telling where a stamina test could take him. Summer racing in the sunshine is always appealing also!

Jamie has kindly given us 4 weeks to see if we can drum up enough interest in this lad and we hope you're as excited as we are by this new addition. Don't delay, take action asap.
