Hello, Friend
A solid start to Punchy Day 1 for me - those systems fired out a 7s>16/5 winner for Cromwell in the last (no qualifiers today), and I had two tips in the same race, which finished 1-2, and landed ÂŁ311 for a ÂŁ5 RFC to boot, to add to the pub fund! :)
3.40 Punch – Wilful – 1 point win – 8/1 (888) 15/2 (PP) 7/1 (gen) 9.00 (Betfair Exch)
3.40 Punch – Ascending Lark – 1 point win – 12/1 (PP, Wh, BV, lad, UniB)
The latter was nestled on my 'in-form' Trainer/jockey combo lists which I post daily for members, and they've been having a fine old time of it, in highlighting nice priced winners. Resplendent Grey on Sat and now Ascending Lark have added +16 points to the pot on the last two tipping days, all good fun!
Onto Wednesday we head. I've four tips at 10s, 14s, 22s and 6s, and will share the last of those with you, as I really don't wish to curse the others! :) (they usually run shockers when emailing out)

6.05 Punch – Let’s Go Champ – 1 point Each Way – 13/2 (Bet365, 888), 6/1 (WH, Lad, Unib)
Let’s Go Champ – I thought last year’s winner had every chance of going back to back in this, no doubt the plan since he was last seen, freshened up, this his Gold Cup. He’s lightly raced for his age and was still technically a novice when taking this last year. The yard are in better form now than they’ve been all season, not really picking up until March, quieter than they usually are over winter, and a chance he was impacted by whatever was going around then. However, he still ran a fine race in The Paddy Power Gold Cup (of which this is not quality wise), looking like he may go close to winning having jumped on the lead after 3 out, over 2 out, before maybe finding that hill too much, or not at the top of his game. But it was a decent effort, and on the back of a decent run in The Galway Plate last July, again not seeing that 2m6f out up the hill. I can ignore FairyH on soft/17f, maybe he wasn’t right. In any case, his two career wins have been in April/May and on decent ground, a chance he’s just a spring/summer horse. He should race handy, and I will be shocked if he doesn’t run an almighty race here and would be rather surprised were he out the Top 4. I think he may take some beating. The yard are in decent form and the horse likes it here, 2/4,4p.
Blue Lord does have a handicap in him I think, a Grade 1 horse back on an ok mark, for all not getting any younger, but Aintree was very poor, maybe he just didn’t face the fences, CP on here. Willie is actually 0/27,5p with 1st CP in handicap chases – i may wish I hadn’t looked at that! I pondered a timid 1/2 point on at 9/2 as cover, but had a word with myself! He’s on the TJC in-form list, his price arguably short enough after LTO, but Willie is a genius. Gordon Elliott is 0/14,0p in the race to date which put me off somewhat.
Some nibbles for Adamantly Chosen which I couldn’t really see, stuffed in this last year, but is now 8lb lower and a fair swing with the selection (he was hampered at the 5th, but I still thought his effort so-so, as have other runs this season), did shape ok at Aintree, but I wasn’t really convinced where a winning performance comes from here, but again, it’s Willie Mullins, so nothing ever a total shock. Maybe he will bounce back to life, Willie having won this race x7.
