Good Afternoon, Friend

Cliff's Trends Racing Service Update and what comes next...

Josh here, I hope this email finds you in good form. Please do take a few moments to flick through what follows.

I am emailing the original list from all TRS trialists, including a few of you who left, so apologies, if you have no interest, do stop reading! :) (you can unsubscribe from these emails with the links at the bottom)

Our original offering for Cliff's brand new TRS service, hosted by me (RTP), has now come to a close. I hope you have enjoyed the ride... so far!

The original idea was to provide top quality trends & preview content for the 'big races', generally C3+ handicaps and graded/group races, that primarily you would enjoy reading when time and that would help you find your own winners, and to develop your own analytical skills if so desired.

It still remains the case that finding your own winners is the biggest buzz. I have never seen content quite like Cliff's and believe it provides so much value to our enjoyment of this great sport, especially the trends shortlists/star ratings.

The second part of the service was of course Cliff 'finding & tipping winners', and even with his superb content, ultimately Cliff needs to provide value on that front over-time and put his own content and contacts to good use - for all I know many will just be happy with his pre race reports/previews. While we don't view this as solely a 'tipping' service, more an 'advice/content' service, making a profit with official advice is important over time!

We also never wanted to provide a service which 'overloaded' you with tips - Cliff is selective, for good reason, and this also helps give you time and space to find your own bets, and occasionally disagree with Cliff's own selections of course! :)

I was conscious we could improve our communication as we went along, which we have done. This was Cliff's first step into providing a service in this form, engaging with subscribers, and finding a way which was of most benefit to all. Like me, he is a quick learner when it comes to 'service delivery' :)

The service did improve in time, the main development being Cliff's sharing of his 'Info Bets' within the Telegram update group, to compliment his Trends & Non-Trends content. It took a few weeks but we got there in terms of how these bets are framed and communicated, with a three pronged tipping portfolio of Trends Bets, Non-Trends Bets and Info bets

Combined, they have pulled in a conservative +75.65 points across the portfolio, at a stonking ROI.

We have made sure the declared price is fair, and attainable, a few winners declared at shorter than advised- we are sticklers for being fair and promoting attainable prices.

I am also a stickler for communication, and as touched on, we did improve on that front. I am fully aware not all subscribers will be sitting on said total above. However, since tidying up the comms, with the three pronged approach, those in the Telegram group should as a minimum be on +20-30 points profit which is still very good.

I hope you can all see the value to date, and more importantly the excitement and value moving forward.

Cliff's 'Trends' tips have done ok, the headline figure of +1.6 points not spectacular of course, but not telling the full story, with plenty of bad luck and jockeys being far too patient! He has fired in a 40% strike rate with tips in the Top 6 (20/49), and given the nature of the competitive handicaps, it has been good going and with a bit more luck, would be on a very healthy pile. This gives me confidence moving forward and I hope it does with you too. It is exciting moving forward and no doubt there will be a spike at some point soon. It is only a matter of time. This isn't just a service for the hear and now, but seasons to come. Only the patient reap the rewards in this game.

The 'INFO' bets developed as the service progressed, Cliff putting to good use his pro-punter contacts, some of whom have very good links into certain yards.

Most 'info' is generally nonsense, but Cliff has opened my own eyes on that score a bit, and clearly there are some well connected pro-punters out there. Cliff's Info bets are 13 winners from 18 bets as I write. They are selective, but generally spot on. This side of things is very exciting moving forward. If you have a smartphone, there is no excuse not to have Telegram! (which you can then access on desktop)

Looking ahead...

With the end of the initial subscription period, we now move into the next phase!

I am busy pulling together options, including the use of Paypal, and I will share these on Thursday or Friday this week.

The plan is to offer two or three subscription options, and importantly, as early adopters, firstly these will be the lowest prices they will ever be, and secondly will be locked in forever more for as long as you stay. There will be no increase for you, ever, for as long as you stay subsrcribed. This is the right thing to do, and to say thanks for your initial sign up into what was a new service.

The best value will be the annual option, and even if you are 'winter jumps' only, there is much to look forward to before October rolls into view - some jumping action, including at Galway, but of course some top quality flat action, and Cliff's 'Info' bets will continue, arguably the flat contact book is more productive than the jumps (for now), you won't want to miss those.

That is all to follow, but you won't miss out. We had around 120 of you generous folk stay beyond the trial period and hopefully a good chunk of you will continue to do so :)

For now, sit tight, and we will see you on the inside again soon. There will be a new Telegram group and webpage set up for new subscribers.

Thanks for reading, and your support,

Josh (and Cliff)
