Dear Friend My Solstice Year is complete. From first hearing the words, "Go to England and write a book of your many adventures" to moving into my new home exactly a year later, it has been an amazing ride.

Yet I have not had a solid base without distraction for the last four months. Alternating between housesitting locally and staying with my boys’ father, Life out of a suitcase or two continued. We booked a family holiday to the South Island of New Zealand in September and planned to move in well before the travel dates in early December or have something ready for when I came back.
The rental market is so tight, and I'm not prepared to live in shoddy accommodation, and I saw lots. By mid-November, I set the intention to have a house and be settled for Christmas. I booked the removalists five weeks in advance for the 17th December. No stress, no attachment, just knowing it would turn up at the perfect time.
Less than 48 hours before flying, I saw my new home having already applied for it that day (my first application for a place).....
