The journal is a critical component of the Ideal Protein Program. It is necessary to promote accountability and to keep your coach well informed with the details of your week. 

Research shows that dieters who journal 6 times a week lose about twice as much and are MUCH more likely to reach their objective! It's not a waste of time! But more than this, it begins establishing the habit of mindfulness. 

Mindless eating is a huge factor in obesity and weight gain. Promoting mindfulness is a critical lifestyle change that, if made into a habit, is directly tied to successful weight maintenance. Our goal with Ideal Protein is to lose weight, and to keep it off!

How to handle a bump during maintenance

I am so happy that I did the Ideal Protein program! I have always been wary of weight loss programs as they all promise the same results and are usually too good to be true. But with the help of my coach, Kazumi, I lost 20 lbs in 9 weeks and I don’t think I could’ve done it any other way.

Weekly check-ins with Kazumi were such a big part of my success. Seeing the numbers fall every week, talking about what worked and what didn’t, and getting to pick out some tasty snacks was something I looked forward to! I never felt judged if I had a slip up, and was always encouraged when I didn’t lose as much weight as I wanted to that week.

I recently had a bad couple of weeks - the ones leading up to Thanksgiving - and gained 5 lbs back. I emailed Kazumi right away and told her I needed a “tune up”! I scheduled a check in and we jumped right into Phase 1 for a couple weeks and I got back to my goal weight. It’s comforting to know that when you do this program you have a lifeline whenever you need one.
