Doors open at ISSofBC Welcome Centre – Surrey
ISSofBC Welcome Centre – Surrey, located at #301-10334 152A Street, is now providing settlement services, HIPPY and the Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants program for interested and eligible clients in Surrey, a community ISSofBC has served for many years.

These are the first among a broad array of services immigrants and refugees can access in the coming days as ISSofBC and its co-located partners firm up delivery arrangements.

Students collect over 1,200 items in book drive
Secondary schools in Vancouver led by 52 Youth Ambassadors delivered collected books, toys, board games and sporting equipment to the ISSofBC Youth Hub as they celebrated the success of Literacy In Action for Refugee and Immigrant Youth.
The Volunteer and Community Connections team laced up their skates this holiday season partnering with Rogers Arena and the Canucks to organize a skating event on the hockey team’s home ice with newcomers to Canada. 
Jobseekers make pitch for plum IT jobs in Talent Den
Internationally-trained professionals faced IT employers to pitch for jobs in BC’s first ever Talent Den. Based on the popular TV show Dragon’s Den, Talent Den brings together employers and diverse IT talent.
LINC teacher Shehnaz Rahman’s CLB 2/3 class in Coquitlam was rewarded for their enthusiasm and hard work when they won the literacy contest held by Decoda Literacy Solutions, an organization that promotes literacy and learning skills in BC.
ISSofBC celebrates dedication of volunteers
Staff honoured the hard work of over 100 exceptional volunteers who contributed 2,100 hours to ISSofBC in Maple Ridge September 2017-2018 with food, speeches and performances during the Volunteer Recognition party.
Newcomers with dreams of becoming successful entrepreneurs, regardless of where they are in their journey, may benefit greatly from two unique programs that are now accepting participants at ISSofBC.

ISSofBC in partnership with the Province of British Columbia have created the BC Refugee Hub where users can learn about refugees arriving to the province, read the latest status of the arrival of refugees and find local resettlement programs, services and resources.
