Subject: You are invited to attend The Arab Youth Refugee Consultation - Community Stakeholder Forum

You are invited to attend Part 2 of the Arab Youth Refugee Consultation - Community Stakeholder Forum Thursday October 6, 2016 hosted in partnership between ISSofBC and the Fresh Voices Initiative of Vancouver Foundation.

During this event, youth will be given the opportunity to share the recommendations that came out of the Arab Youth Refugee Consultation held September 17 at ISSofBC Welcome Centre.

The forum will take place with government & community stakeholders including: settlement service provider organizations, municipal, provincial and federal government, school districts, health authorities, and many others supporting this group in their settlement and integration in Canada.

Additionally, we will share with you the social media campaign youth created in their own words and share a short video.

60 Syrian youth within their first year to Canada were brought together during the initial consultation and asked for their input into newcomer youth related policy and program needs. Participants then put together a report of recommendations that will be the basis for the community stakeholder forum.
