Career Paths for Skilled Immigrants Info Session - Vancouver
Are you a Newcomer who lives in Vancouver City trying to return to your pre-arrival occupation in Canada? Join us to learn how Career Paths can help internationally trained newcomers – Permanent Residents or Refugees – go back to work in their field of expertise in Vancouver (must have 1-3 years pre-arrival experience in the field). .
Info sessions are delivered at the Terminal location in room 610 every Tuesday and only open to Vancouver City’s residents. If you are not living/residing directly in Vancouver City (for example: Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster etc.), but are still interested in the Career Paths program, please contact us at for a referral to the Service Provider in your area.

Canadian Workplace Culture: Online Learning for Temporary Foreign Workers - Workplaces are made up of employees from a variety of cultures with different values. This module will teach you how to be culturally aware in the workplace and at the same time learn what Canadian workplace culture is.
Course is offered weekly at no cost to participants. Running from August 2019 to March 2020.
For Temporary Foreign Workers and Caregivers who have:
  • Commitment to engage in an individualized online learning plan
  • Adequate English language skills (preferably CLB 6) to participate actively in the program
  • Access to a computer device and internet

Global Talent Loans Program - Online Info Session - Vancouver - Break the barriers of credential recognition.If you’re an internationally trained professional seeking to find work in Canada, you may need to complete the foreign credential recognition process. Foreign Credential Recognition (FCR) is the process of verifying an individual’s foreign credentials to ensure they meet the standards established in Canada.You may also need to adjust your career goals to meet the new needs of the market and your own in a related or unrelated career. This requires additional training and employment support to establish in the new career.
What we offer:
  • provide information about re-credentialing or retraining for a specific occupation,
  • explore career opportunities within your field or related/unrelated alternative career
  • provide access to a low-interest loan for credential recognition process and/or alternative career or training activities
  • support you through the re-credentialing process and job search for up to 4 years
  • provide connections to other bridging programs, resources and employer job leads

Youth in Tech Information Session - Surrey- is a skills training and employment program customized for immigrant and refugee youth ages 18-24 interested in pursuing careers in BC’s rapidly expanding Tech sector. The program provides youth with hands-on opportunities to build digital skills, meet industry leaders, and gain meaningful work experience in Tech.
