Let's Talk! Teaching in BC Classrooms Join us and learn about teaching in BC! Learn the process of obtaining a Certificate of Qualification (COQ) or Independent School Teaching Certificate (STC). Explore this growing industry with Career Paths! Aug. 25, 1 - 4pm in room 201 at the ISSofBC Welcome Centre (2610 Victoria Drive, Vancouver). To register, click HERE.

Cover Letters & Reference Lists: 2-Day Introduction & Writing Clinic Do you have a powerful cover letter to gain the attention of employers? When an interviewer asks for your references, are you ready to provide them? Along with a resume, these documents complete your job search toolkit.  Register for this 2-day workshop series to develop effective cover letters and a reference list to suit local job search practices. A cover letter mini-manual and reference list sample are included for registered participants.
This is a free service for permanent residents, live-in-caregivers, naturalized Canadian citizens, refugees, refugee claimants and provincial nominees.

Skills and Supports for Job Success Program Info Session - Are you a newcomer looking for work? The Job Success Program can help! This free employment program offers:
  • 5 weeks of employment workshops
  • Work experience and connections with employers
  • Free short-term training (eg. First Aid, Food Safe, Forklift etc.)
  • Work clothing supports
  • Bus ticket support for job search
 To learn more about the upcoming Vancouver session (beginning August 20th) join us for an Info Session on Aug 15, 10am - 12pm at our Terminal office (333 Terminal Ave, Vancouver) in room 602. We will discuss what the program can do for you and eligibility requirements.
