Resume and Cover Letters Workshop - August 9, 9:30am-12:30pm at the ISSofBC Welcome Centre. A free workshop for permanent residents, live-in-caregivers, naturalized Canadian citizens, refugees, refugee claimants and provincial nominees. Develop skills to create a targeted resume, learn to write strong cover letters to gain attention of local employers and get help with preparing a reference list to complete your job search tool kit. Tips for Successful Interviews Workshop - August 10, 9:30am-12:30pm at the ISSofBC Welcome Centre. The ability to handle yourself well at an interview is a skill you can learn. Tips on interview preparation and readiness, answering common interview questions, responding to behavioural and situational questions, closing the interview and creating a lasting good impression and professional follow-up. This is a free workshop for permanent residents, live-in caregivers, naturalized Canadian citizens, refugees /refugee claimants and provincial nominees. Literacy and Essential Skills Training for IT Professionals Program *FINAL Info Session* - We are recruiting participants for our September Cohort! Join us for our FINAL info session, August 15 from 12:30-1:30pm at our Terminal Avenue location (333 Terminal Avenue, Vancouver.) The LES (Literacy and Essential Skills) Program for IT Professionals seeks to help newcomers in IT succeed and advance in the Canadian workplace. This program was designed with input from IT employers in Vancouver especially for IT professionals who want to hone their workplace communications skills.
