Pre-Screening for TechStart Employment Program!
We are seeking funding for a new session of TechStart, so we are pre-screening clients to find perfect candidates for the program! 

TechStart is a 9-month, full-time, intensive employment program for newcomers with intermediate to advanced tech skills that helps participants find employment as a Web Developer. The program includes job readiness and soft skills training, occupation-specific language training, and intermediate to advanced level coding bootcamp. 

If you have clients you think would be interested, please refer them and email techstart@issbc.org. Deadline to refer clients to the program is February 22nd - seats are limited, so please reach out sooner rather than later!
Eligibility:
Government-Assisted Refugee (GAR), Privately Sponsored Refugee (PSR) or Immigrant
Unemployed or underemployed
Metro Vancouver resident
CLB Level 7+ (a lower CLB level will be considered if participant has extensive experience in coding)
Education and/or experience in tech - Mandatory!

Services offered:
Intermediate to advanced level coding bootcamp (12 weeks, intensive, full-time)
Occupation specific language training (possibly)
Job readiness workshops
Soft skills training
Essential skills training 
Participant financial supports (childcare, transportation)
