Over 80 staff receive Years of Service Awards for dedicating careers to ISSofBC
Over 200 staff cheered for their colleagues during the ISSofBC Employee Service Awards at the Hilton Metrotown in Burnaby. The awards, held during the ISSofBC all staff meeting, recognizes employees who have dedicated five, 10, 15, 20 or 25 years to ISSofBC.

Burnaby LINC moves to Lougheed Hwy offering morning and afternoon classes

ISSofBC LINC in Burnaby is now open at a new location near Gilmore and Brentwood Town Centre. The facility offers the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program.

Activities and Events

Canada Day celebrations - Multicultural parades, picnics, new Canadian presentations and an O Canada sing along —ISSofBC plans to celebrate in numerous festivities across Metro Vancouver for Canada's 150th.

Youth hub activities - From dance workshops to movie nights, the ISSofBC Welcome Centre Youth hub has over 20 activites planned for July.

Career Paths info session – Skilled immigrants interested in career planning, credential evaluation, networking, work placements and more are encouraged to join ISSofBC at the Surrey City Centre Library July 25.

Info session and dialogue with IT employers – Skilled immigrants looking for new opportunities in IT can meet with employers at the Coquitlam Public Library August 1.
