1. Information & Registration for: 
Exclusive opportunity - Salesforce Training delivered by Traction on Demand (Free of Charge)

Are you interested in technology?Would you like to explore a career in the Salesforce Ecosystem? If you answered yes to both questions above, we may have a perfect opportunity for you!

In partnership with ISSofBC, Traction on Demand is delivering 2 weeks of training which offers:
1. Week One: hands-on Salesforce Training for the Business Administration Specialist Badge;
2. Week Two: non-technical training including Project Management, Real Talk, Crossing Cultures, and mock interview preparation.

Upon completion, there will be a Career Fair with Traction on Demand and other Salesforce Customers. Expect to grow your network, meet employers, and receive on- the-spot interviews.

Training values at $2500. Once enrolled, it is free to attend. A small deposit is charged upon registration and will be refunded in full upon completion. Financial assistance is available to those who need help for paying the deposit. 

Who can attend:
  • 18+ years of age
  • Able to commit to two weeks of daily training from 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
  • English CLB +5 (Canadian Language Benchmark) or higher
  • Able to commit 1 day of preparation before the course
  • Has aptitude for technology; interest in pursuing a career in technology
  • Basic to intermediate computer skills (internet surfing, managing an email account, install apps, upload & download files)
  • May not have prior experience or knowledge of Salesforce, but must have an interest in learning how you can advance your career within the industry

When: Monday, January 27th, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm 


2. What Does It Take to Become A Professional Engineer in BC? (Webinar)

Calling all internationally trained Engineers who are new to BC. On February 4, at 5 pm, we will have two highly experienced engineers sharing their journey to the P.Eng. (Professional Engineer) designation.

Our guest speakers are: Mr. Omid Lashkari, P.Eng., Registration Activity Manager at Engineers and Geoscientists of BC, and Mr. Mike Shefreie, P.Eng. with SRC Engineering Consultants

  • What funding options are available to ease the financial pressure during the waiting period

3. How to Become A Registered Immigration Consultant of Canada (webinar)

Thinking of a career as Immigration Consultant? At the earlier stage of the licensing exam study and wish to know more about this profession? Need extra financing to reduce financial pressure? If any of these scenarios describes you, consider attending this webinar.

Hui Zhang, a Committee Member of the Canadian Association of Professional Immigration Consultants for British Columbia Chapter, will be sharing insights about entering into this profession on January 28 at 2 pm. Please note that this will be a webinar event. Registrants are not expected to attend in person rather we encourage early registration so that we can send you the webinar access method a day prior to the event.

4. Hiring Fair Hosted by Natural Factors

Natural Factors is a leading nutritional products manufacturers and distributors in North America. Partnering with ISSofBC, Natural Factors' Head Office will be hosting an open house and hiring fair on Thursday, January 30, from 10 am to 2 pm. The address of the Head Office is: 1550 United Boulevard, Coquitlam.

Current job vacancies of high need: Machine Operators and Warehouse Operators. Job applicants are expected to bring their current resume and ready for speed interviews.
