Subject: Did you miss this? Perfect End Of Summer Labor Day Recipes With Instant Pot

Hey Instant Pot family,

Just because summer is wrapping up doesn't mean that good food has to end. In fact, Labor Day weekend is a perfect opportunity to get out the Instant pot to help you prep some classic summer party dishes.

Even if you plan to cook out on the grill, the pressure cooker can be a handy assistant ahead of time.  You can pre-cook meat to speed up the grilling time such as chicken wings or pork ribs. The same can be said for the veggies like corn or potatoes. Use it to make a side dish to bring to a cookout such as beets, green beans, mac'n'cheese, and so on.

Oftentimes, you will use the Instant Pot to cook some of the key foods ahead of time (e.g. eggs and potatoes or quinoa/beans for a salad). And, it's perfect for getting a delicious cheesecake or another dessert on the table without turning on the oven!

We've put together our favorite Instant Pot Labor Day recipes to get you inspired.

Have a great week and weekend ahead!

Instant Pot Orange Chicken Step-By-Step

"I’ve done this twice now with wonderful results both times. Feedback from those I served was excellent. I went all-out, which I rarely do, usually cutting corners where I can, but I used fresh-squeezed orange juice and grated zest. I typically skip the zest. And I grated ginger for the first time. Again, terrific results. For some reason, the electronic pressure cookers lend themselves particularly well to Asian dishes. I had great results doing a recipe for chicken stir-“fry”. Wonderful. I’ll keep going! Thanks."

Instant Pot Black Dal Makhani

"We had Black Dal in Dishoom Edinburgh last Saturday night. I thought it was one of the most delicious dishes I have ever tasted. I desperately wanted to try it out myself but the thought of a pan bubbling for 5 hours in high summer turned me off. I couldn’t believe my luck when I found this recipe. It is bang on 100% Absolutely delicious. Measurements and timings are perfect. I reduced cream and butter slightly but it did not detract from the finished dish. Thank you."
