But it gets better. For many years Bill was the personal assistant to the great Al Schmitt. There's nothing like learning from the master himself!
Bill has gone on to have a great engineering career himself, working with artists like Yes, Quincy Jones, John Fogerty, Natalie Cole, and many more, plus a variety of films and television shows.
In our interview Bill gives us the secret behind Al Schmitt's genius, compares the approach of the some of the engineer greats, and tells a great story about recording Yes under unusual circumstances, and much more.
