Engineer Benny Faccone has won 17 Grammys for his work with Mana, Ricky Martin, Santana and Luis Miguel among many others, and I talked to him about that in depth way back in podcast #5.
This time we discuss something that everyone can relate to - building your home studio.
The difference with Benny is that he's still an analog guy, so he had to find room in house for an 11 foot long console and a boat-load of outboard gear.
We talked all about the trials and tribulations of building a studio in your house, but you'll also hear some of his mixing techniques, and a great story about how caffeine poisoning from coffee is a real thing!
On the intro I'll look at the big fight between music publishers, songwriters and Spotify, as well as Mike Mathews fight to keep his audio tube factory from falling into the hands of the Russian government.
