Applied StemCell (ASC), founded in 2008, uses three core technologies including iPSC technology, CRISPR, and TARGATTTM to provide a variety of stem cell-based services and products and to generate CHO and HEK293 master cell lines for site-specific knockin, library screening, and bioproduction. With over 12 years of research and development experience, we offer up-to-date products and services that meet the requirements of the research community today. Applied StemCell is in the process of getting GLP and GMP certified and complied with. We can now provide GMP gene-editing services, and we are working towards developing a comprehensive inventory of GMP clinical-grade iPSC-related products.
iPSC Generation & Differentiation
Applied StemCell uses highly optimized feeder-free protocols to generate induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines from PBMCs, fibroblast, and more. We can work with healthy or diseased samples, and iPSC gene editing services are also available. ASC has the capacity to differentiate iPSCs to a variety of cell types, and we have a diverse inventory of control iPSC differentiated cells that can be used for disease modeling, drug discovery, and toxicity screening.
TARGATT™: Site-Specific Knock-in Technology
Applied StemCell’s proprietary TARGATTTM technology allows for site-specific, single-copy integration of a gene of interest, up 20 kb, at a safe-harbor locus. ASC engineered TARGATTTM CHO and HEK293 Master Cell Lines with a landing pad at a safe-harbor locus, and the cells have displayed high integration efficiencies and medium to high levels of protein expression. Our master cell lines have the potential to be used in bioproduction, to establish a cell-based library for antibody screening, and in the construction of a naïve IgG library system.

ASC offers a wide range of GMP clinical grade iPSC-related services. We can use ASC’s gene-editing technologies to engineer our GMP lines to express your gene of interest (GOI). Our expert scientist can also work with your GMP line and perform gene editing using good manufacturing practices (GMP). If you are interested in developing commercial products, we also offer a TARGATTTM iPSC master line for your individual research needs!
