1. From film to stem cells: If we've ever seen a full-scale shift in company focus, this is it!  Fujifilm forming CDI Japan to launch iPSC business for drug discovery support in Japan

2. Will stem cells transform society in other areas than medicine? Check out the article "Is in vitro meat the way of the future?" It discusses how myosatellite stem cells can produce muscle tissue via stem cell culture, and how the first in vitro burger was funded by Google co-founder Sergey Brin!

3. Recently, BioInformant shared the "Top 10 Most Shared Stem Cell Articles of the Past Year," revealing a powerful list of stem cell articles that captured public attention and went viral on social media. The most recent of these articles is about the potential to re-grow teeth within the mouth. It is a wild but seemingly viable idea, as Columbia University has been quietly filing patent applications for the technology being explored by Dr. Mao. 

BONUS: It was just announced that the "First UK patient receives stem cell treatment to cure loss of vision." Admittedly, the title is confusing because Ocata Therapeutics has been exploring stem cells for vision improvement for some time and there have been the iPSC trials in Japan (currently on hold), but the news is still significant and worthy of a read.
