Yo,
Everyone's got that mate.
The one who's "got a system."
He backs draws in the Championship when it's been 0-0 at half time and the expected goals are under 1.2 and it's raining.
He'll tell you about it at the pub.
He'll show you his last three winners.
He won't show you the sixteen losses before them.
And you'll nod and think... "Maybe I should try that."
So you do.
And it loses.
And you try something else.
And that loses.
And somewhere around attempt number seven you start wondering if football trading even works at all.
It does.
But not like that.
Not by collecting other people's half-tested ideas and hoping one of them sticks.
It works when you take one idea... test it against years of actual data... see the entry point, the exit point, the drawdowns, the recovery... and then decide if it's worth your money.
Not your mate's opinion. Data.
That's what BTC's football backtesting does. Five years of match and price data. Test the entry AND the exit. Keep what works. Bin what doesn't.
====> Try it here
Ryan
P.S. Your mate's system probably does work, by the way.
He just hasn't tested it properly. And neither have you.
