Quick one.

I used to have a folder on my laptop called "Strategies."

By year two it had 14 folders inside it.

Each one a system I was "testing." Most lasted about a week. Some lasted one bad afternoon.

I'd find a new one on a forum, or a mate would mention it in passing, and mine would suddenly feel old. Slow. Not good enough anymore.

So I'd drop it. Start the new one. Feel that little hit of hope again.

Then repeat. For two years.

Here's the bit that took me way too long to see...

The strategy was never the problem. This is where you actually stick to it.

Every single one of those 14 systems probably worked, at least well enough. I just never gave any of them long enough to prove it, one way or the other.

I wasn't testing strategies. I was testing my own patience. And patience kept losing!

Does that make sense?

You don't need strategy number 15.

You need to actually find out if the one you're running right now is any good... instead of guessing and moving on the second it gets uncomfortable.

That's most of what we do inside BTC now, if I'm honest. Less "here's a new system." More "here's how you actually find out if yours works."

Forget strategy number 15. Go find out if the one you're already running actually holds up, entry and exit, before you risk another penny on it live.
