I think I know the answer to this.
We’ve all gone somewhere and thought we knew where we were going haven’t we?
I remember very clearly being in New York and confidently telling the wife it’s this way!
Walking for what seemed like an eternity in what I thought was the ‘right direction’
Ignoring her calls of ‘I think this might be the wrong way’
Until I had to stop and ask somebody for directions.
They told me the way, I followed their directions and you know what I sorta got in the vicinity of where I wanted to be.
Then I asked somebody else and they said ‘Hey you from England, I LOVE Brits, I am heading that way now it’s only a couple of blocks. Walk with me I’ll show you the way!’
They did and dropped me right at the door, exactly where I wanted to be.
Amazing right, why couldn’t I just swallow my pride and ask for directions first or better still use the maps app on my phone…
But we cannot always see this light can we.
Sometimes we don’t want to, it’s like we want to make it harder.
It’s the same with traders.
It baffles me when I see traders struggling, especially when our software is pretty much like the maps app on your phone.
