Subject: Simon’s story - 0️⃣ to Profit!🔥

I'm asking you for a year.

If I am asking you to commit to something for a year which is exactly what I am doing with these emails.

Then it's only right that I share with you a story from somebody like you who also committed to a year.

Because you want to know what you are going to get and will this work for you.

So here's Simon's story...

In his own words...

From Zero to Profitable: My Trading Journey

Six months ago, I had zero trading knowledge. Fast forward to today, and I'm three months into my over 1.5 goals strategy, with 3079 recorded games, odds, and scores.

It’s been a tough three months of recording data. Sometimes, I had to catch up on days' worth of data when I didn’t have the time to input it. But now, seeing all my data in front of me, I realize how important it was. This journey taught me the value of persistence and accountability.

I sought help from the BTC community, and Adam gave me a Google Sheets formula that cut my data recording time dramatically. A tiny bit of help that made a massive difference for me.

I started by paper trading my strategy to gather data and see if it was worth putting real money on it. After about seven weeks, I read or watched a BTC video about having an odds range. Implementing this advice, I saw my paper traded profit rise. That’s when I decided to start trading with real money using £1 lay stakes.

Another game-changer was a video from Martin on filtering out poor-performing leagues.

I applied this to my data, and my paper traded profit rose significantly again. Trading within an odds range and only from certain leagues, my profit was rising slowly, but it was still profit.

I wanted to grow my bank quicker, so I adjusted my stakes. I calculated my odds range and stakes so my liability would never exceed £5. I went back through my data, added variable stakes, and compared them to my £1 lay stakes. The difference was clear—variable staking was the way to go.

My spreadsheet now shows three months of paper trading with variable stakes, filtered leagues, and an odds range. It’s my bible, holding all the information I need to tweak my strategy.

I'll keep sharing my journey and learnings. If there's one thing I'd change, it would be to streamline the filter results to save time. I’ll keep reading the forum and watching BTC videos because I know I'll find something to help.

During this journey, I’ve had moments where I couldn’t be bothered to keep going. It was repetitive, but seeing my strategy moving in the right direction on my bank balance chart encouraged me to continue.

I did make a big mistake once—accidentally cut instead of copied three weeks of data. I was gutted. But thanks to having multiple versions of my strategy, I was able to restore the data, although it took nearly two weeks.

There have been times I hesitated to ask for help, worried about bothering others with newbie questions. But the community here is incredibly supportive. Now, my data is always up-to-date, and I can review it anytime to find ways to improve my profit.

What do I wish I had known sooner? That you can’t make a profit with zero trading knowledge. I lost money trying other people's strategies without proper research. I’ve learned to tailor strategies to fit me, collect data, and focus on one strategy at a time.

Now, I’m enjoying trading because I understand it better. I’m disciplined and strict about following my strategy’s rules. I’m starting to collect data for a new strategy, knowing exactly what to do this time.

The hard work is paying off, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me next.

This story is one example of what’s possible with the Betfair Trading Community. If you’re ready to start your journey, we’re here to help you every step of the way.

It also shows that with a bit of hard work, asking some questions along the way what can be achieved.

What say you? You could follow the same path and become profitable?

Maybe the next success story is you I am emailing about, I really hope it is Friend

Are you going to make me an offer? You don't have to, it really is your choice.

Ryan

PS This story is in the forum for all to see as well, so you can see it and even speak directly with Simon when you get inside!
