Subject: PWEASE stop throwing the remote

The remote didn’t concede in the 92nd minute.

A small public service announcement before another weekend of football:

Your remote control is innocent.

It didn’t concede the late goal.

Your phone didn’t miss the penalty.

Your laptop didn’t tell that full-back to make the stupidest challenge he’s made since Under-14s.

Yet somehow...these objects tend to become collateral damage when a trade goes wrong.

There’s another thing traders tend to attack after a bad result too.

The strategy.

One loss?

Maybe the filters are wrong.

Two losses?

Perhaps the entry needs changing.

Three?

Delete the bloody thing.

The problem is you’re trying to answer a question with far too little information.

You wouldn’t judge a striker from three shots.

But traders will sometimes judge an entire strategy from three afternoons.

That’s why I like backtesting.

You can take the emotion out of the argument.

Rather than:

“I reckon this works.”

Or:

“This thing is rubbish.”

You can actually go and look.

Test the conditions.

Test the rules.

See what happened historically.

Then make your decision.

Preferably before any household electronics are harmed.

You can do that here >>> https://checkout.lightspeedstats.com/lightspeed-stats-football-stats/

Then let the data argue with you.
