Excited about that one trade?
Remember, it's the steady stream of smart trades that builds real traders.
Do you ever research your trades and think the trade you have found is nailed on for goals?
Then you get super excited about that?
Thinking about the goal fest that is coming, only for it to be a bore draw or the goals come late?
You see this EXACT thing happened yesterday, Olympiakos v AEK Athens. On the face of it looked like that game was going to have goals goals goals.
Especially in the first half.
A lot of traders would have looked at these stats and got excited.
Thinking about how this trade was so good all day, building up the excitement in their head.
They would have staked way more than they usually do, throwing the plan out of the window.
Because this trade was nailed on. All the stats say so.
Then the game kicks off.
It starts slower than you would have thought, it's now 15 mins and that red is looking scary.
You are starting to doubt everything.
BUT you don't trade out, because there's going to be goals.
You now sit there at HT with a HUGE red.
You've reduced the bank massively.
That EXACT thing happened with Olympiakos last night, the stats looked solid. Some of the best I have seen in a long time, on the face of it you could have done:
• LTD
• HT LTD
• FH Over 0.5 & 1.5
All of them looked like they would have been nailed on.
The game ended 2-0 to Olympiakos with the goals coming on 65 & 90+.
Why am I telling you this?
Because you can learn something from this and that is...
You have to take all the trades on the same level, don't get too excited by one trade.
Each trade is part of the larger plan, they all fit in the longer-term view. You see by getting excited by one trade a lot of traders will:
• Overstake
• Open trades on other markets they don't usually trade because the stats look good
What you need to do is:
• Stick to your rules.
• Stake the same as normal.
• Only trade the trades on your plan and for your strategy.
This allows you to avoid the rollercoaster of trading.
