Here’s a much smaller challenge.

Before Saturday, test one idea.

That’s it.

Not 17 strategies.

Not a new spreadsheet with six tabs and conditional formatting that would make NASA proud.

One idea.

Maybe it’s:

Games where the favourite is below a certain price.

Maybe it’s an Over 2.5 setup.

Maybe it’s something around laying the draw.

Maybe it’s a strategy you’ve already traded 20 times but still don’t really trust.

Put it into LightSpeed.

Run it through the historical data.

Then start poking at it.

What happens if you change the entry?

What happens if you exit earlier?

What happens if you tighten the conditions?

What happens if you loosen them?

You might discover it’s rubbish.

Brilliant.

You just saved yourself from finding that out with real money.

Or...

you might find something worth testing further.

Either way, you know more than you did before.

And that’s a considerably better use of a Thursday evening than staring at Betfair

and convincing yourself:

“Brighton look a bit short here.”
