over the last 6 months, we have received a lot of
suggestions from customers on our embedded real-time simulation and analysis
software.
Today we are happy to announce that we’re rolling out
the new INCHRON Tool-Suite version 2.9.1 with a number of upgrades and fixes.
We’ve also made numerous under-the-hood
adjustments to give you an overall smoother Tool-Suite experience. |

| What's new?
Dataflow simulation
- Dataflow connections now support non-destructive
readers, enabling the modeling of AUTOSAR AP kLastN event cache update policy.
- Furthermore, queued dataflow connections now provide
events to keep track of the queue fill level and the loss of data in case of a
queue overflow.
CAN-FD
- For the source-code simulation of CAN-FD we have added
a new API that complements the simulation of CAN-FD messages in task models
introduced in the Tool-Suite version 2.9.0.
Trace import
- The importer for BTF traces now supports events with
values.
- The automatic detection of tasks and functions for
Lauterbach traces has been significantly improved and works much more reliable.
- The importer for CSV traces now directly supports the
definition of idle tasks, so that a correct load calculation in batch mode is
possible.
- In the import wizard, the 'Next' and 'Finish' buttons
are disabled and show a tooltip if there are issues preventing the trace import
from progressing.
- In addition, the importer now always records import errors
in both, the isf trace and the log file.
- We also added a new application note to help users
with the CSV trace import.
Report
- We added a new configuration parameter for the
granularity used by the load calculation of the report. It is no longer fixed
to 1 ms.
- For better post-processing a command-line option
"-r json" was added to Batch, which writes the report data to a JSON
file.
- We also added a new command-line option "-r
inlineimages" to Batch, which can be used to place histograms and other
generated images directly into the HTML code.
