Saint Stories for the Soul
Sts. Leo the Great, Martin of Tours, Francis Cabrini

Our souls were not made for fragments. Not for convenience. Not for manageable religion. They were made for communion—for the total, transforming intimacy of God.

In an age of distraction, when we scroll endlessly for meaning and settle for comfort instead of calling, Saint Stories for the Soul offers a deeper invitation: to rediscover who we are and whose we are. Each week on IGNITE Radio Live, Greg and Stephanie Schlueter open a window into the lives of three saints—real men and women who faced fear, betrayal, exhaustion, and cultural collapse… and still chose love.

They weren’t born glowing. They were forged in fire—the same kind that surrounds us today.

These aren’t dry history lessons. Each story unfolds like a living parable—drawing us into moments of courage, mercy, and grace that still burn with relevance. They remind us that holiness isn’t a museum relic or future prize—it’s a daily, deliberate decision to Live It Today.

This Week’s Saints:

Saint Leo the Great — Courage in Collapse
In the fifth century, when the Roman Empire was crumbling and Attila the Hun stood at the gates, Leo rode out alone—unarmed—to face the invader. What gave him that courage? It wasn’t power or politics, but a heart anchored in Christ. His message resounds across the centuries: Be clear on what matters most—before the attack begins.

Saint Martin of Tours — Mercy with a Sword
A young Roman soldier who divided his cloak to clothe a freezing beggar, only to see Christ wearing that same cloak in a dream. His life became a testimony that true strength isn’t in conquering, but in compassion that costs something. In a culture addicted to comfort, Martin calls us to stop calculating and start giving.

Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini — Faith That Builds Doors
Turned away by Church leaders upon arriving in New York, Mother Cabrini refused defeat: “If the doors will not open for us,” she said, “we will build our own—with God as our carpenter.” Sixty-seven schools, hospitals, and orphanages later, her quiet defiance built a civilization of hope. She speaks to us now: Don’t wait for ideal conditions. Begin where you are. Move with faith.

These saints don’t belong to stained-glass windows; they belong to our homes, our hearts, our ordinary days. They show us that holiness is not perfection—it’s participation. God doesn’t call us to be impressive; He calls us to be His.

So, whether you’re battling exhaustion, fear, or discouragement, tune in this week and be reminded:
You were made for heaven—and the road there begins right where you stand.

EPISODE 487:
SAINT STORIES FOR THE SOUL

NEARLY TWO YEARS AGO
I WROTE THIS BOOK nearly a year before President Trump was elected.

ONLY IN RECENT WEEKS have I been moved by the most consequential discovery of all: my protagonist. Willie. Charlie. In the heart of the public square when everything is going south. Courageously speaking truth in love. One who ignites revolution. In the only way one can.
If it weren’t for a single woke-wounded review, the book would be rated 4.9/5.
