THE COMING STORM:
A DREAM ABOUT THE END

BY GREG SCHLUETER

It was just a few months before COVID. George Floyd. Epic civil unrest. Economic shutdown. Isolation. Election integrity. Weaponizing vaccines. Defunding police. Critical Race Theory. Personal work eviscerated for governmental control. Reliance. All dots marking lines suggesting intentional social engineering. Atheistic socialism. Swirling clouds of political, economic, cultural, and ecclesial confusion and calamity. Lest we forget, we are so small. All we're experiencing is but a shadow of what's unveiling in light of eternity. God is speaking to our hearts.

JOURNAL ENTRY: JUNE 3, 2019.
Last night I had the most vivid, horrifying dream.

It seemed everyone I had ever known was gathered together at some expansive, outdoor location. It was a bright, sunny day. Light chatter mixed with ordinary laughter. Voices softer and louder. The atmosphere was filled with all the range of emotions, preoccupations, indifferences, thoughts that mark this present humanity.

Without notice a slight breeze emerged, bringing in ever-darker clouds. It seemed like all of a sudden, in the distance, great, roaring winds began encircling... amidst mighty thunder and shattering lightning.

None of us had anywhere to go. Somehow we all knew nowhere could withstand the mighty force around us anyway. All former thoughts collectively evaporated. All triviality. Whatever anyone had been hoping for in this life.

And then something that defies explanation: Amidst the great storms, somehow each of our souls became exposed. Laid bare. Not just the public things, but the hidden things in our depths. Every moment of lies, lust, jealousy, hatred, greed, indifference... each of us confronted with the bold, ugly truths of our sins. Each seeing one another's. There was not one among us not struck with the enormity of our smallest sin. Sufficient to banish us eternally. And meriting the same. This, of course, was far more horrifying than the storm.

As it all seemed to move in with ever-greater intensity, before I awoke... one, prominent thought punctuated it all:

The mighty door of mercy is closing. The day of reckoning is upon us.

“'In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.'” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.” 2 Cor. 6:2

GOSPEL | Matthew 17:1-9
Jesus took Peter, James, and his brother, John,
and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
And he was transfigured before them;
his face shone like the sun
and his clothes became white as light.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them,
conversing with him.
Then Peter said to Jesus in reply,
"Lord, it is good that we are here.
If you wish, I will make three tents here,
one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah."
While he was still speaking, behold,
a bright cloud cast a shadow over them,
then from the cloud came a voice that said,
"This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased;
listen to him."
When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate
and were very much afraid.
But Jesus came and touched them, saying,
"Rise, and do not be afraid."
And when the disciples raised their eyes,
they saw no one else but Jesus alone.
As they were coming down from the mountain,
Jesus charged them,
"Do not tell the vision to anyone
until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead."

EPISODE 271: HEAVEN IS SPEAKING: URGENT MESSAGES
With guest, Drew Blazsik, join our very enlightening but sobering conversation about Heaven's urgent messages to us today. Out of great love, God is warning us. Eternal life is at stake. We will soon be confronted with the horror of our sin, seeing our souls the way God sees them. What keeps us out of heaven. That we might turn. This and other messages have increased in frequency. With remarkable resonance corresponding to the events of even the past months.

We discuss Our Lady's messages in Fatima, Garabandal, & Akita. We discuss the demonic strategy revealed by demons in the actual exorcism accounts popularized by the movie, "Exorcism of Emily Rose." We discuss the emergent threat of socialism and it's political companion, communism. We discuss consecration to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the urgent call to a good confession and pursuit of holiness. LISTEN NOW! SHARE!

with JOHN MICHAEL TALBOT

Today, we celebrate the Transfiguration of the Lord. Wow, how exciting is that! Jesus goes up the mountain, needing solitude. First and foremost, when he seeks solitude, he always takes three people with him. Therefore, when facing temptation and being alone, he often withdrew to deserted places to pray.

The word "desert" comes from eremita, meaning "hermit." Notably, He enters solitude for more profound prayer, and He takes three individuals with Him because even in solitude, the support of others is needed, setting an excellent example for Hermits and all of us.

During the Transfiguration, Elijah and Moses appear to Him, representing the law and the prophets, and they discuss His upcoming passion, providing Him with strength as he fulfills the law and the prophets. The great light overshadows them, and they disobey when the light vanishes; they see only Jesus left. The Father declares, "This is my beloved son; listen to him."

In response to the extraordinary event, Peter, James, and John suggest building three booths, one for Elijah, one for Moses, and one for Jesus. While their desire to engage in human religious practices is understandable, it was not what Jesus had in mind, and He firmly responds with a series of "no's."

In our own lives, we must also embrace times of solitude and seek guidance from the law, prophets, and scriptures, finding encouragement in the teachings of the early church fathers, monastic history, and the lives of saints. These sources can guide us in facing our challenges and suffering, leading us to resurrection and transformation in the light of Christ.

While the allure of remaining in solitude might be strong, Jesus reminds us to come down from the mountain and engage in ministering to others. Striking this balance allows us to experience joy even amidst our crosses. My prayer is that with this understanding, you can find great harmony in your life, knowing that all things are possible with God.
