Check out what's happening at the library!

Hello and welcome to our March newsletter!

I have two important updates to share this month.

First, we’re preparing for a major upgrade to our library catalog system this spring. Our library is part of the 40-plus–member LCI consortium, which shares a common catalog. All LCI libraries will be migrating to the new system together.

If you regularly search the catalog or place your own holds, you’ll notice a refreshed, easier-to-use interface starting in June. If you currently use our library’s app to access your barcode or manage your account, please be aware that the app will be unavailable beginning April 7. A new app will launch in June as part of the upgraded system. You can learn more about the upgrade here.

We apologize for any inconvenience this transition may cause, but we’re excited for the improved experience that’s on the way!

Second, I’d like to invite you to join our new Library Ambassador program. We are seeking 5–10 community members to serve in this group, which will meet with me three times per year to learn about library services, share ideas, and support community outreach. The first meeting will take place on Monday, March 30th. If you are interested in being a part of this, please email ctyszka@berlinpeck.org or reply to this email. You can read more about it here.

Remember, the best way to support your local library is to use it and remind your friends and family to do the same. We hope to see you in the library soon!
