Important Changes to Libby

Libby now uses a password.

To make your account more secure, Libby now requires a password to log in. This change also affects other Libby services like Kanopy.

Your Libby password is the same as your library catalog password. If you have already set your password for our new online catalog (since June 2026), you can simply use that same password to log in to Libby.

If you haven't already set a password for the online catalog, you'll need to set one now. Follow the directions below—or contact the library, and we'll help you set your password.

  1. Visit the online catalog: https://catalog.berlinpeck.org/

  2. Click "Accept All" at the bottom of the page. If you don't see this button, you can skip this step.

  3. Click "Log in" on the top right.

  4. Click "Reset Password" below the blue button.

  5. Enter your library card number and click "Send Passcode Reset Link."

  6. Check your inbox for an email that says "Reset password."

  7. Click "Link to reset credentials."

  8. Create a new password.

  9. Use your new password in Libby!

If you encounter any problems, feel free to call or visit the library.

You can now hide AI-generated content.

We’re happy to announce that Libby now lets you hide AI-generated books, audiobooks, and images. To adjust your AI content preferences, follow the directions below.

  1. Open the Libby app or website.

  2. Click the center icon on the bottom of the screen.

  3. Click "Content Controls."

  4. Click "AI Contributions."

  5. Adjust your selection to show human authors/narrators/artists only, human authors/narrators/artists involved, or all authors/narrators/artists.

  6. Uncheck "Deep search only" at the bottom of the page.

You can also check a book's information page to see if it includes AI-generated content. The "disclosure" section notes whether a book includes AI-generated content, and allows you to report undisclosed AI-generated content. Learn more about "AI slop."
