Subject: Fall in love with reading again! 📚

Did you love to read as a child... but haven’t picked up a book in years?

Do you wish you could become a reader... but just don’t know where to start?

We can help! Reading offers many benefits—from teaching empathy to reducing stress, to improving concentration and focus and much more.

The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is starting a new, year-long initiative to help adults fall in love with reading. Whether it’s a light romance novel, a scary horror story or a factual history book, our librarians can help you find the perfect book to get you started.

Here is what we have in store for you this year. We hope we can help kickstart your reading life!

All-Year Reading Challenge

Can't wait for summer reading? Our new POPSUGAR reading challenge lasts all year long—and you can earn reading-themed pins. (The pins are SO fun.)

Reader's Retreat

Saturday, March 25

Look forward to our first-ever Reader's Retreat, where you can socialize with other readers in the community!

Adult Summer Reading

June–August

Looking ahead to warmer weather, summer reading will be back in June! Read books to earn a chance to win prize baskets from local businesses.

Book clubs all year!

Book clubs are a great way to engage with literature in a fun, social way. They encourage members to discuss, explore, and gain new insights from a book, while also connecting with a community of people who share similar interests.

The Library holds four monthly or quarterly book clubs for you to enjoy. There's no commitment, and you can pick up a copy of the book at the Library!
