SPECIAL INVITATION TO IFDC NIGERIA OPEN DOOR DAY, MARCH 2, 2022

The International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) humbly invites you to the maiden Open-Door Day event scheduled for Wednesday, 2 March 2022; Time: 9AM to 1PM West Africa Time (WAT). Find herewith the agenda of the Open-Door Day event for your kind reference. This event precedes the HortiNigeria Program launch scheduled for 3 March 2022 at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.

IFDC was established in 1974 in the U.S. state of Alabama as an independent non-profit organization that combines innovative research, market systems development, and strategic partnerships to identify and scale sustainable agricultural solutions for soil health, food security, and improved livelihoods around the world. IFDC installed its office in Nigeria in 2003 and now has over 19 years of experience in the country, empowering millions of smallholder farmers to become agricultural entrepreneurs actively engaged in local and regional agricultural trade. IFDC emphasizes collaboration with partners, building local capacity, working with smallholder farmers and processors, encouraging women and youth participation and engagement, and creating opportunities for youth employment in agro-industrial space.

The Open-Door Day event is themed “19 Years of Developing Agriculture from the Ground up in Nigeria’’. The program will showcase IFDC's innovative plans for this year and our approach: who we are, what we do and how we do it. Moreover, the Open-Door Day will gather like-minded institutions and professionals as a fruitful ground for collaboration.

Venue: The forecourt of IFDC Nigeria Office at No. 6 Ogbagi Close, Off Oro Ago Crescent, Off Muhammadu Buhari Way, Garki II, Abuja.
