I would like to invite you to the International Fertilizer Development Center (IFDC) 40th anniversary commemoration event, entitled Nutrients’ Role in Food Security, on September 29, 2014, in Washington, D.C. We would be honored for you to join us in celebrating this important milestone for IFDC.
The one-day event will provide an opportunity for agricultural development partners and other eminent stakeholders to examine the importance of fertilizer and other inputs both retrospectively and prospectively. The event will take place at the J.W. Marriott Hotel, 1331 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, D.C., from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The working agenda

We will release the book, Feeding a Hungry World, by Thomas Hager, author of The Alchemy of Air, during the program. The book documents IFDC’s history, from our roots as a fertilizer research and technology transfer organization to a holistic agricultural development center.
