The latest blog in IFDC's Six Pieces of the Innovation Puzzle series focuses on population growth.

There will be 9.6 billion people in the world by 2050 (with the largest increases in Africa and Asia). India is expected to become the most populous country, with Nigeria coming in third. And farmers will need to meet the growing demand.

Agricultural innovation can address these challenges and get more food on more plates. Innovations such as urea deep placement and the inventory credit system can increase food production and farmers’ incomes.

To learn more about these innovations, see our IFDC Perspectives blog and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google+, Instagram and Tumblr.
