Subject: Eat with WHAT?!

It's just one small adjustment...

It felt so different!

You know that moment when you think,

“I’m so done with this!”

But you don’t know how to stop?

Well, sometimes it's a tiny shift that changes everything for you.

The other day my client was crying in our session.

"I've spent YEARS trying to control what I eat.

Counting, restricting, making promises to start again on Monday...

And every time I “messed up,” the voice in my head got harsher.

“You see? You can’t even get this right.”

Food has become punishment for me.

But also a reward.

And my comfort.

And I have so much shame about it!

Then, the other day, I was standing at the kitchen counter, eating leftovers straight from the pan again, scrolling on my phone, hardly tasting anything.

And somewhere, from deep inside me, a quiet question rose up.

“If I loved myself, would I be doing this to myself?”

I think it's from all this work we've been doing and being part of The Portal.

I'm becoming more aware of whether I'm being self-loving in a moment.

This time though, it wasn’t about what I was eating...

It was about how I was being with myself.

I was unconsciously shoving food into myself, totally checked out.

It was so unkind.

And I suddenly SAW that!

So I put the fork down.

Took a breath.

Sat down.

And whispered, “You’re allowed to eat. You’re allowed to enjoy this.”

That moment changed something.

Suddenly it wasn’t about willpower anymore.

It was about kindness.

It was so different to all the self-punishment I've been taught to pour on myself.

It felt really, really good."

Kindness can change our whole experience of something.

It's core to self-love.

In November our theme in The Portal of Permission, will be how to love yourself with food.

And because this topic touches so many of us, I’ve created a special five-day “Food and Self-Love” journey for anyone who wants to walk this with us.

It begins in two days - on Saturday 31 October.

Five gentle days to begin turning the battle with food into a loving relationship.

Five days to discover that food isn’t the enemy.

Five days to learn to eat with kindness.
