Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmat Allah wa Barakatuh Dear IANT community, Like most of the Muslim Communities in the United States, we are deeply grieving the tragic unjustified attack on the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD). Our Masajid and Places of worship should always be a place of peace and worship. It is heartbreaking to witness such violent acts take place in these sacred spaces. We stand in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in ICSD with our resources, support and Duaa. We ask Allah Subhanhu wa Taala to allow their community to heal their deep wounds and give them patience and strength during these difficult times. These three brothers - Amin Abdullah, Nadir Awad, and Mansour Kaziha - who gave their lives without hesitation to protect the young children of the community, will remain legends within our communities for their courage and honor. May Allah Subhanhu wa Taal grant them all the highest level of Jannah. Since yesterday (5/18) IANT has implemented the following security measures and is requesting the community’s cooperation in following them: We have doubled our security personnel through at least till the end of this week In coordination with Richardson Police Department (RPD), patrolling the facility and the surround area has increased. Please minimize unnecessary conversations with our security personnel to allow them to focus on their responsibilities. Please avoid remaining unnecessarily late in the parking lot or around the facilities. Follow instructions on which doors to use and which should remain closed. Continue to remain vigilant. If you see any suspicious activities in or around the facilities, please report them to the security personnel or the front office.
