We are excited to be able to announce that we are relaunching ALERT's Fire Academy this fall, and registration is now open!


Fire Academy | 13 Weeks

State-Certified Fire & Hazmat Training

September 11-December 13, 2025


ALERT’s Fire Academy, in partnership with a local college, offers a fire course accredited by the Texas Commission on Fire Protection.


Through a combination of classroom training and hands-on skills practice, students will learn all that they need to be able to sit for the Texas State Firefighter Basic Exam, and then apply for the applicable IFSAC Seals. These seals are internationally recognized and do not expire, allowing graduates to apply for fire fighting jobs in most US states and Canada.

To register for Fire Academy this fall, fill out the Battalion Registration Form.


Register by July 28 to receive the $100 Early Registration discount. You can also visit the Financial Aid page for additional discounts and scholarship options. Course availability depends on the number of students who register.
