Subject: ALERT Update | June 28, 2022

June 28, 2022

One of the amazing results of putting men through tough times together is the camaraderie that they develop. At ALERT we believe that being in community with other men makes a man better, stronger, more reliable, and more steadfast. I have experienced this in my own life over the last 13 years here. It's the men that I have had the privilege to work side-by-side with over the years that have truly had the most life-forming impact on me. They have seen me at my best—and then cautioned me about my pride. They have seen me at my worst—and have stayed with me till that season of life was over. In a world of isolation where shallow, digital "relationships" are the norm, what young men need is connection and community. Young men need camaraderie.

Stand strong,

Major Jesse Boulden | Unit 40

ALERT Commanding Officer
