Subject: ALERT Update | Deploying to Colombia and Panama

September 7, 2023

On Monday I will be taking the Missions class down to Colombia and Panama for nine days. The main goal of the trip is to partner with another team that is working with women and children who are at risk of sex trafficking, or have escaped from being trafficked. We will be helping the women as they work towards getting work visas and jobs so that they can be financially independent. We may also assist in making arrangements to relocate to a safer neighborhood. In Panama, we will assist with humanitarian efforts among the migrant population, and help with other local ministry opportunities with our partners in-country.

Please be in prayer for myself and each one of the men with me as we serve:

Pray for safe travels to and from Colombia and Panama, as well as for our travels around both countries.
Pray for each of the people that we will have the opportunity to work with, especially the women who are trying to provide for themselves and their children.
Pray for the local partners that we will be working with, as they have been serving long before we will arrive, and will continue long after we return home.
And pray for each one of us that is heading to South America that we would be challenged, encouraged, and come home with a bigger view of God and the work He is doing in the world today.
