As I look back on the last training quarter here at ALERT, the first word that comes to mind is “grateful”. In the last few months of training we: Sent two deployment teams to the Houston, TX area to help with relief work after Hurricane Beryl Sent our Construction unit up to work with a ministry in Wisconsin Had our EMT class in Longview, TX doing clinicals with the local Fire Department Sent Dive to Florida for field training Sent Tech Rescue to Mt. Magazine, AR for field training Had 3 flight students working towards Private or Instrument ratings Advanced the 54 men of Unit 71 out of Basic Training (including seven sons of alumni) Graduated 15 men into the Eagle Response Unit, with graduates from Units 67, 68, 69, and 70 Did 7 color guard ceremonies in the surrounding communities
As we close out 2024 and ALERT’s 30th year of forging men, I want to thank you for your prayers, support, and partnership in the Gospel. And as I look toward next year, I am so excited to see what God will do in the lives of each one of the men who come for training, what He will do in their family's lives, and what He will allow us to do to serve the world around us. |
