Subject: ALERT Update | August 8, 2023

August 8, 2023

It has been said that if you want to succeed once, set goals, but if you want to succeed on a continual basis, set habits. As humans, we are designed to work and live in a pattern of rhythms. Since the world's creation, God has set patterns in motion: day and night, light and dark, rest and work. As creatures made in the image of God, we thrive best when we live within these rhythms. A rhythm of daily time with God and His word. A rhythm of weekly time with the people of God. A rhythm of working six days and resting one. In order to keep up these healthy habits, it's going to take self-discipline, or, as I like to call it, "spirit discipline."

We must give ourselves more and more to the working of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and let Him lead and guide us in the way God wants us to live.

Stand strong,
